Game 14 took Samba to Tynecastle Stadium, home of Heart of Midlothian FC. A touch of rain before kick-off left the pitch playing beautifully, and the lads served up a cracking contest in aid of Big Hearts Community Trust.
First Half
Both sides created chances early on. The deadlock broke in the 20th minute when Kyle Boggie rifled a free-kick from the edge of the box into the top corner, 1-0 Blues.
Not long after, Graham Miller broke down the left and cut the ball back for Daz Cain, who smashed it into the roof of the net, 2-0.
With ten minutes of the half left, Dirk Otway intercepted on the halfway line, drove at the Blue defence, and picked out Johnny Cairns to finish, 2-1.
Just before the break the Blues struck again: Cain found Boggie in the box, who lost his man with one touch and fired into the bottom corner. Half-time, 3-1 Blues.
Second Half
A cagey start to the half sparked into life when Rich Rintoul found Robbie Simpson, who curled a 25-yard beauty into the top corner, 3-2.
The Yellows pushed for an equaliser, Calum Sneddon denied by a brilliant James Ebbs save, before the pressure told with ten minutes left: Otway found Cairns again, 3-3.
Five minutes from time, Ryan Lindsay laid it off to Mark McLeod, who hit a thunderbolt into the top corner to make it 4-3. Sneddon and Jon McGraw both went close in stoppage time, but Ebbs stood firm to see it out.
